Three dishes are new at the Hollywood Studios landmark. A roasted butternut squash soup opens at $13, a braised duck pappardelle is $50, and a pumpkin cheesecake finishes at $14.
The Hollywood Brown Derby has changed three dishes for autumn. The soup is now roasted butternut squash, at $13. The braised duck pappardelle is the new pasta at $50. A pumpkin cheesecake closes the meal at $14.
Three dishes made way. The cream of chicken and asparagus soup, the seafood fregola and the vanilla-fruit cheesecake have all come off. Each one was replaced in its own section.
The soup comes with roasted bell pepper, a coconut-hazelnut emulsion, toasted pumpkin seed and chilli oil. The pasta is hand-rolled semolina with celery root, wild mushroom and crispy pancetta.
Lunch and dinner carry the same three dishes at the same prices.
The squash soup. Disney lists it without gluten and wheat, egg, fish and shellfish, milk, or sesame. That makes it the most flexible of the three. The menu does not say what the soup base is built on, and a smooth soup like this is sometimes made with chicken stock. Ask first if you are vegetarian.
The duck pasta. Disney lists it without fish and shellfish, peanut and tree nut, sesame, or soy. The pasta is wheat. Wild mushroom and crispy pancetta are both on the plate, so it is not one for low-FODMAP, and there is pork in it.
The pumpkin cheesecake. Disney lists it without fish and shellfish, or sesame. Nothing else. It is a cheesecake on a spiced sponge cake, so dairy and wheat are both in there.
