Chefs de France swaps the cordon bleu for a vinegar chicken and adds a prix fixe

Epcot's French brasserie has a new chicken entrée, a new dessert and a $67.95 three-course Menu Français. The Poulet Cordon Bleu and the swan profiterole have come off the à la carte list.

The Poulet au Vinaigre is $39.95, the same price as the cordon bleu it replaces. It is a chicken breast in a shallot and red vinegar sauce with tarragon and potato purée.

The dessert is a nougat glacé with candied orange and raspberry sorbet at $13.95, replacing the swan cream puff.

The Menu Français is one appetizer, one of five named entrées, one dessert and a glass of wine or a soft drink. The cordon bleu is still one of those five choices. It is not on the Disney Dining Plan.

Lunch and dinner carry the same changes.

If you're avoiding something

The Poulet au Vinaigre. The sauce is built on shallots, so it is not low-FODMAP. Expect butter or cream in the potato purée. Disney has not published allergy details for it.

The nougat glacé. Frozen nougat is honey, meringue and usually nuts. Ask about nuts before you order. Vegetarian.
