Ale & Compass has turned over its main plates

Twelve dishes are new at the Yacht Club restaurant, including a crab cake, a short rib and a plant-based dessert.

The Maryland-style crab cake is $35 and runs at both lunch and dinner. It comes with corn puree, tomato succotash and roasted red potatoes.

Dinner has four new main plates. A 12-ounce New York strip is $39 with marble potatoes and salsa verde. Red wine-braised short rib is $38, glazed with Guinness. Herb-roasted chicken breast is $27. Steak frites runs $35 at lunch.

The pub cheeseburger is $25, built on a house-made bun with bacon pub cheese and pickled onions.

Starters gained a tomato and burrata salad at $14, with stone fruit jam and spiced pistachios. Breakfast picked up steel-cut oatmeal at $7.

Dessert is a peanut butter-marshmallow cup at $9. It is plant-based all the way through, mousse and chocolate shell alike.

Gluten. Most of these plates can be made free from gluten and wheat on request, including the strip steak, the chicken and the tomato salad. Ask when you order.
